To ensure a homely atmosphere, 10 independent cottages are planned to be built in the lush green 10 acre plot at Kalliad, Irikkur, Kannur, near the Chinmaya Rural Dispensary. People of this area have been receiving medical aid from Chinmaya Rural Dispensary since 1985. Each cottage will accommodate 8 children in the age group of 12 to 17 years under the care of a house mother. Chinmaya Balaniketan was inaugurated on 5th Sept.2016 by Smt.P.K.Sreemathy, Member of Parliament.
